Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your role within InterMed?
My name is Paul King, also known as P.K. I’m happily married with two kids, Stella (17) and Nadia (20), and we share our home with three furry companions: Ash, Biggie, and Kodak. I enjoy staying active by going to the gym, and I love relaxing with a beer on the couch while watching footy. Professionally, I work as a Warehouse Manager, a role I truly enjoy.

How long have you worked at InterMed?
I have been employed at InterMed for the past seven years.

What does a typical day as a Warehouse Manager look like?
A typical day involves ensuring the team is clear on their roles and responsibilities, overseeing the smooth operation of the warehouse, and addressing any internal issues that require my attention.

What advice can you offer to other Warehouse Managers who are just starting?
If I could offer advice, it would be not to sweat the small stuff and always be there to support your team, both personally and professionally.

What’s the best bit of advice you’ve ever been given?
The best piece of advice I’ve ever received is to treat others the way you would like to be treated.

Tell us about a professional success story that you’re proud of.
My success story is achieving my current role as Warehouse Manager. I began my journey as a pick-packer, was later promoted to 2IC, and eventually worked my way up to this position. It’s been a journey of hard work and dedication to get to where I am today.

What are your favourite things about working at InterMed?
My favourite thing about working at InterMed is my team—a great bunch of lads. We enjoy having a laugh together and often find ourselves in some really weird and hilarious conversations!

What have been some of the most important lessons you’ve learned throughout your career?
It’s always important to be helpful and respectful and show empathy toward others.

How do you like to spend your time when you aren’t working?
Spending quality time with my wife and kids. Oh, and watching footy while enjoying a beer on the couch—lol!

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I would like to learn how to sing.  At the moment I sound like a cat on a hot tin roof lol.

How do you define success?
For me, success is achieving what I set out to do for the day and having a healthy and happy team.

What’s one thing on your bucket list?
That will be fulfilled this year when I go to Vegas with my wife to watch the New Zealand Warriors play. UP THE WAHS!!!
